Tigerbay completes integration of Travelport Galileo web services

Tigerbay has successfully completed the integration work to enable tour operator users to search and book Galileo GDS flights via its specialist tour operator platform.

Tour operators who sell GDS flights now have the option of using Amadeus or Travelport when working with Tigerbay. Using the call centre application and Tigerbay API it is now possible to search for all relevant and available fares, book these and create a pnr, with either GDS.

With more complex flights, and where tour operators prefer to continue creating pnr’s directly in the GDS, it is possible to pull the information from the pnr into the Tigerbay booking to ensure all booking details are captured and held within the record to be included on customer documentation and operational reports.

Vicki Tittley from Tigerbay said “We are really pleased to now be able to offer access to Travelport through the Tigerbay system. It’s important to us that we give our customers commercial and functional choices to ensure they have the right solution for their business.

We are continuing to develop new functionality around scheduled flying and will soon be making use of the rules engine to enable tour operators to include the searching and booking of scheduled flights within predefined tours. Due to the nature of escorted tours and the operational requirements, it is important to ensure only certain flights within a set time window and within a set budget are returned to the sales agent and / or the consumer-facing website. The Tigerbay rules engine really comes into its own to help our tour operators restrict the scheduled flight options to be applicable to the tours.”
